Arizona Coffee

I drove past Author’s Cafe today and noticed a deli had moved into the same spot it had once occupied. This only means one thing: it has closed its doors. Does anybody have the background scoop on this? It was there for years and served up some good coffee which came in amazingly huge bowl cups. I think the owner spent a lot of time baking cakes and pastries as the display case was always filled past capacity with good looking desserts. I wonder what happened.
