Espresso from Liberty Market

July 2, 2009 Posted by Chris Tingom Filed under Uncategorized

I stopped in at Liberty Market for the first time last week and had a blast. A more complete profile is coming later. But I just had to share this photo of my espresso from their E61 Bar. Photo was taken right away.

Rich looking crema. Those are my favorite style demi’s also.

Yeah, that’s what a doppio should look like!
And those ACF demi’s are almost as good an indicator of what kind of quality you should expect inside them as the rest of the ‘machinery’ the shop chooses.
I have a pair of La Marzocco logo ACF demis (not quite the thick walled Nuovo Point Cafe pictured here) but still one of my favorites!

that crema has an interesting orange-ish hue to it. It might be the lighting and all, but it looks like espresso that’s has robusta in the blend (not saying that’s a bad thing). Who’s espresso do they use?

Tom and I just returned from there and their coffee was outstanding. Ashley did a great job – we had a couple of cappus, a macciato, a double espresso, and a couple of their cortidatos. All were superb. I’ll get some pics up when they are processed.

Steve – Liberty uses two types of espresso (besides Decaf), Neopolitian and French Roast. Beans are 100% arabica and wood roasted, Mr. Espresso out of California.
