Arizona Coffee

A new coffee shop is opening in Scottsdale this weekend, and it sounds like a winner. Steve Belt is opening the shop and it is called Echo Coffee.

According to Steve, they are doing a soft opening on Friday, April 23rd with full opening this weekend. Echo Coffee’s “grand opening” will be the weekend of May 7th.

This coffee shop will be serving food and also roasting their own coffee… so it sounds really great. Congratulations to them on opening.

I’ve been busy with work, and various other activities recently, so in order to fill the void, I’ll be posting some photos (I’ve been visiting lots of coffee shops).

My mom recently visited Ike’s Coffee in Tucson, and shared these snapshots with me. I found the art on the coffee cup sleeve to be especially cool.

Brian Clemens emailed me to let me know you can watch live video of several Arizona baristas competing at the US Barista Championships.

David from Avenue Coffee in Tucson competes Thursday at 3:50 pm.

Ashley from Cartel Coffee Lab competes at 10:20 am on Friday.
