Ah yes… It seems there’s a trend to educate, or I should say re-educate the customer, with what these snobs think coffee should be. Along these lines, ridiculous brewing contraptions and techniques are popping up around town that really have no effect on coffee quality. I guess they’re supposed to indicate a high level of sophistication? They don’t. Sometimes it may be better just to stick with the basics and forget the “8-point star pattern pourover brings out a hidden yucca-nut flavor profile that would otherwise not be possible” routine.
