A few weeks ago I put out a call on Twitter asking if anybody knew of any new coffee shops in Yuma. To my surprise and delight someone recommended North End Coffeehouse.
I had made plans to head to San Diego for the weekend and knew I needed to stop and get coffee!

We barely made it on time! They were about to close at 6 pm when we stopped in. The friendly barista was more than helpful and made some drinks for my wife and myself. We had a cappuccino, as well as an almond milk mocha. We also tried some of their chocolate chip cookies!
The shop is named after the neighborhood it belongs to in Yuma.
Here’s a photo of the bag of beans I bought.
They use beans from Building 3 Roasters, which is also based in Yuma, AZ and has been roasting since 2014. Building 3 Roasters has a close partnership with North End Coffeehouse and hosts frequent cuppings and other tasting events at the shop. While you are there, you can pick up a pound of their coffee.
North End Coffeehouse is located inside an old building on the same street as the county courthouse. The building is nearly 100 years old and has a certain weathered and rustic charm about it. There’s old brick walls, high ceilings, and nice wood flooring. The interior has been lovingly decorated with comfortable couches, and tables and chairs. There are lots of coffee bags for sale, along with some mugs.
The espresso bar is located at the back of the shop, and features a La Marzocco espresso machine.
So, the next time you are looking for coffee in Yuma, do yourself a favor and check out North End Coffeehouse.
