Senta Scarborough The Arizona Republic Nov. 20, 2006 09:15 AM A suspect wearing a ski mask, gloves and a blue hooded sweatshirt robbed a coffee shop at gunpoint Saturday evening, police said. The robbery occurred around 8:47 p.m. just before the Coffee Bean in the 1900 block of South Power Road closed, Mesa police spokesman Jerry Gissel said. The suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding money. The suspect forced the clerk to place money from the cash register and the store’s safe in his backpack, police said. The suspect fled the store and headed east. He is described as being about five foot, six inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
