What are some of the coffee shops you take your out-of-state visitors to see? If you have friends or family flying visiting, and you want to impress them with a good cup of coffee or espresso, where do you go? Are you after good coffee or good and comfy seating? For me, if I want to impress someone, I’m most likely to take them to one of the following places: LUX (Phoenix) Cave Creek Coffee Company (Cave Creek) Coffee Rush (Gilbert or Chandler) Copper Star Coffee (Phoenix) The Village Coffee Roastery (Scottsdale) If I were in Tucson, it would be one of the following two places: The Coffee Vein (Tucson) 6th Street Cafe (Tucson) I haven’t been to enough of the places in Flagstaff to be able to recommend anything. What are some of the ones you take friends to?
Steve Kessler I got the chance to stop by Copper Star Coffee on Sunday. Thumbs up! Great place, and love the look. I wasn’t to thrilled with my Macchiato, but overall I enjoyed the experience. I’ll go back there again and would recommend them to others. 0 Reply September 18, 2006
Jeremy I go to Flagstaff just to go to Macy’s alone. I just love that place, and haven’t found any place like it anywhere. The coffee is out of this world, but it’s their pastries, much of which are vegan and very creative, that really sets it apart. If only there was one in Portland… 0 Reply September 26, 2006
ash ponders Does Coffee Rush actually stack up to the likes of lux? Take this from a frequent visitor of Rush, it is basically, just an corporate coffee shop that happens to be indie. 😐 0 Reply September 28, 2006
Chris Tingom Coffee Rush has some good quality coffee and that’s why I included it. As far as atmosphere and trendy furniture… I think LUX has everyone beat. 0 Reply September 29, 2006
David Brown When visiting Tucson I always take people to Safehouse and have them try the Ibarra Mocha. 0 Reply October 11, 2006
