The Business Journal reports on a new coffee shop coming to Verrado next month:

Verrado residents will be the first in the U.S. to get a taste of Italian coffee from Mokarabia Coffee Bar.

The chain, which currently has stores in Bars are in Rome, Bologna, Cortina D’Ampezzo and Milan, Italy, chose the upscale West Valley community for its first U.S. location, which will open in December.

Mokarabia Coffee Bars feature both classic and contemporary products, while embracing the Italian coffee bar culture as a social gathering point. The menu will feature hand-made espresso drinks, including those made with liqueur, as well as gelato, omelets and pastries.

Italian millworks were flown in from Milan to build the store’s interior. Verrado Mokarabia Coffee Bar Manager Alex Pierson received his espresso training in Bologna and gelato training in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

More Arizona locations are planned for next year.

Mokarabia Coffee Bar is the creation of Mokarabia S.p.A. of Bologna, producer of Italy’s Caffé Mokarabia coffee.

The name “Mokarabia” comes from “moka,” the original seed of all Arabica coffees, which grew wild in Ethiopia and was first cultivated in Yemen.

Also, there are barista jobs available, and it looks like their web site is under construction.

    Ha Ha Ha.
You don’t know that Mokarabia coffee are already served at Zephyr Espresso Caffe in Gilbert.

Chae, you don’t realize that China Mist Teas has an agreement with Mokarabia to sell coffee. China Mist is in many stores like Bashas’, your local tea / coffee shop, etc.

The only current LOCATION in the US is in Verrado. I imagine that Zephyr Espresso Caffe has China Mist brand teas?
