Preamble The purpose of this code of conduct is to increase the level of discourse on this web site and create a community where honesty, integrity, and general courtesy is the standard. This is just a way to make sure that the community is a comfortable and respectful place where information about coffee and related topics can be discussed in a fun and enjoyable way. Chris Tingom I received a question about this line in the code of conduct and wanted to clarify: “You may not post comments using fake names or the name of a person that is not yourself.” Specifically, my objective with that statement isn’t to prevent regular use of a username or “handle.” Those are fine and actually quite common on the internet. What’s not ok: Using a completely fake username such as “martin” or “debbie” when your real name is Louis. Especially when the intent is to deceive. In addition, if your name was Louis and you had a username and you want to use that feel free. Over time people will learn to recognize your username / nickname. I hope that clarifies everything. Thank you everyone! 0 Reply December 6, 2007
