Another Tucson coffee shop opens in February. It’s called Crave Espresso Bar and it is on 4530 East Broadway Blvd. From the Tucson Citizen: Kim Sciabica hopes to have her Crave Espresso Bar open next month at 4530 E. Broadway in the Midstar Plaza. Crave will feature brews using beans from local company Roaster X, pastries baked daily at the restaurant and several unique amenities. “It’s going to be something of a departure from what Tucson has in the way of coffee shops,” she says. “It’s going to be very colorful and very fun, with a drive-through window, a true bar for coffee drinkers, and a funky, modern-but-retro feeling.” Sciabica’s first foray in the food and beverage business, Crave will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, and from 7 a.m. to midnight Saturday, with Sunday hours yet to be determined. “I don’t think we have enough cool places to hang out in midtown,” Sciabica says. “I’m really excited about our location and the experience we’re going to provide for people.” Applications for baristas and a part-time baker are still being accepted.
