I have so many coffee shops I need to visit and not enough time. One of them on my list is the new Solo Cafe. I actually received an email recently from the owners. My name is Andrew-Liam Kelsey. My business partner Chad Bare and I recently opened a coffee shop in Tempe called Solo Cafe, and we wanted to extend an invitation to you to visit our place, sample our product and experience our atmosphere. We are located in the Mill Towne Center on the southeast corner of Mill and Baseline in between Curves and Altered Ego Salon. We offer free wi-fi and an assortment of books to read and movies to watch in a cozy, comfortable environment. Our coffee is supplied by Cortez Coffee in Tempe, our tea is from Maya Tea of Tucson, our Chai is from Third Street Chai of Boulder, CO and our pastries from Jonathon Robbins Bakery in Tempe. They are also in todays newspaper. http://www.azcentral.com/community/tempe/articles/0129tr-solocoffee0130.html Solo Cafe 107 E. Baseline Road Tempe, AZ 85283 Phone: (480) 838-7656

Tempeite Hey guys @ SoloCafe – any chance of increasing the hours? I’m an “evening coffee” type and have tried to stop by a few times when I’m on my way over to another Tempe coffee shop – I always want to check out the new places – but every time I’ve come by, it’s closed. I know it’s probably hard to have long hours when you first open, but just take a look at the kind of traffic a place like Xtreme Bean down the street keeps at night – it might be worth it! 0 Reply February 1, 2008
AndrewLiam Hey Tempeite, We are planning to extend hours until 9:00 pm in a few weeks. As you said, it is a little difficult at first to have long hours, but you are also right in pointing out it’s worth and we are working to make that happen as soon as possible. Thanks for the input and hope to see you in the future! ~ SOLOcafe 0 Reply February 1, 2008
Ryan South Tempe now has the perfect trifecta of great coffee shops with the addition of Solo Café. I got to enjoy a great double shot Caramel Latte that was crafted to perfection by co-owner Chad. The décor has the warmth you would expect of a coffee shop in Colorado where co-owner Andrew learned his trade. I say on your next available Saturday morning do the South Tempe coffee shop circuit, including Solo Café, Steve’s Espresso and Bunna Coffee which are all within 3 miles of each other. 0 Reply February 14, 2008
Steve This is a great spot. I can tell the owner care about quality. Let’s make this play a Tempe hotspot. 0 Reply February 15, 2008
Mike Absolutely awesome place. Great coffee, great atmosphere, free wifi is a huge plus, and the owners are really friendly. I go to plenty of coffee shops around the Valley, and this is certainly one of the best. 0 Reply March 8, 2008
