Cave Creek has quite a number of gems and one new one is Firecreek Coffee Roastery. It opened in February and the day I visited had quite a steady stream of customers. The shop is divided into four sections: Coffee house, coffee roastery, espresso machine repair / parts shop, and offices. It also has an impressive outdoor patio surrounded by a great desert garden. The surrounding buildings house art galleries, so the whole area is sophisticated in nature. View of the coffee shop from the outdoor patio. Founder Mike Funk My beautifully crafted latte. No porcelain cups? A variety of tampers. Pulling a shot. The machine is from Australia and is very rare. Mike was telling me how they had to add some of the dials themselves. They do all of their own machine repair and maintenance and had a number of machines in the back. Menu board. The bar. The countertop was made by Mike Funk’s cabinetry shop in Cave Creek and is made from sunflower seeds. They sell a variety of Bodum products. Roasted coffee. Green coffee. The San Franciscan – mini model. The San Franciscan – larger model. Coffee Roaster – Joey Daigneault. Firecreek Coffee Roastery 6501 E. Cave Creek Rd. Julia I love this place! I visited for the first time a couple of weeks ago and have been telling all of my friends about them! Best coffee in AZ! 0 Reply April 1, 2009
Bob By far the finest coffee I’ve ever had and I’ve sampled espresso all over the west/northwest. The shop, its staff, and its incredible patio absolutely rock. Stop in to meet Joe (roaster extroadinaire) and Mike (an owner who really cares about roasting and presenting a truly quality product). They will gladly share their expertise and enthusiasm for their product and your enjoyment of it). Bob 0 Reply January 22, 2010
