One of my favorite coffee shops in the Phoenix area is Copper Star Coffee. The location on 7th Ave is not far from my business, so on a recent morning I stopped in and did some work. In contrast to many nearby coffee shops (such as Lux), I found the environment to be completely peaceful. The music was nice (and quiet), there was enough open space and empty seats that I could choose where to sit. In addition, they have that amazing garage door that opens in the winter — did you know their location used to be a vehicle repair shop? Cozy environment – and they bake amazing muffins and cupcakes. And pies, too. I love how they’ve displayed the wireless access code. Sometimes I wonder why bother even having a password, though. I ordered a small cappuccino and got to work. The owners of Copper Star Coffee, Bill and Ginger Sandweg, are working on opening a BBQ restaurant in the near future. They have plans to open the restaurant on 7th Ave and Camelback. Sounds exciting! Copper Star Coffee 4220 N 7th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85013 Facebook Profile
The Sonoran Hey, that place just looks too cool. Funny thing, I live just a few streets away and didn’t even know it was there. Thanks, I’m gonna have to give it a try now. 0 Reply December 18, 2011
