On a recent Saturday morning we found ourselves at Altitude Coffee Lab for breakfast. We’ve been over here a couple of times for breakfast, and one reason is because it’s close to this awesome walkway along Lake Marguerite in Scottsdale. It’s just a fun place to take the family for a quick Saturday stroll. Anyways, we’ve been getting the Breakfast Burrito which I absolutely love. Paired with a cappuccino, of course. I just love this view inside the shop. It’s warm, inviting, and feels like a modern workshop combined with a traditional coffee lab. Maybe it’s the painting, but everything just looks cool. I thought this was a clever use for an old drawer. A place to store lids, napkins, and straws. Here’s the breakfast burrito, which is terrific. Needed some salsa on the side, though. Here’s the money-shot of the breakfast burrito, with the bacon and yummy eggs. My cappuccino. The photo is a bit blurry, sorry about that. El Cantante Question for you: is this shop really a lab? I think a lot of places are calling themselves “coffee labs,” but how much science are they really putting into the coffee? Or is it just a new term in the coffee industry? 0 Reply June 16, 2014
