Terra Java is located on Indian School Rd. and 36th St. in Phoenix, and is a local coffee shop that serves coffee, tea, and breakfast. They also have a variety of live music, and open-mic nights. We recently visited Terra Java on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed our visit. I had a traditional cappuccino, and my wife tried the mocha. My cappuccino was really good, and prepared with latte art, as you can see in my pictures. My wife enjoyed her cappuccino. Terra Java uses coffee roasted by Press Coffee Roasters for all of their drinks. Terra Java occupies the space previously known as Mama Java’s, and if you had previously visited Mama Java’s you should know it is completely different. They’ve improved the coffee dramatically, cleaned up the interior, and because of these changes it is a totally new experience. While visiting, I had a chance to talk with the owners, and ask them some questions. They are really excited about perfecting the craft of coffee, and are playing a part in the evolving coffee scene here in Arizona. They hosted a latte art throwdown in their shop a few years ago.
