I joined a friend and went to check out the new Boss Coffee that has recently opened in Scottsdale. We visited on a weekday in April, just before the weather turned warm. Boss Coffee has a fantastic patio that overlooks the valley. I’m planning a return trip again soon just so I can sit there and watch the sunset. They have some cool couches and a fantastic desert view. I ordered my usual: a small cappuccino, but when the barista asked if I’d like a 16 oz or a 32 oz my heart dropped. Seriously? A cappuccino is supposed to be 8 oz or smaller, and I don’t care who you are, you can’t call a 32 oz latte a cappuccino. So, I amended my order and asked if they could make me a macchiato, and they asked if I wanted an espresso macchiato or a macchiato latte. Thankfully, they knew what I wanted and we got things sorted out. They made my drink “for here” which was awesome. Boss Coffee is practically brand new. it opened up in April, 2016, and commands a really great location on Scottsdale Rd. They have a.drive-thru, which will no doubt boost business. The only coffee shops close by are a couple of Starbucks’ and a new Dutch Bros Coffee just up the road. The interior of Boss Coffee has been designed to impress. Everything has been created in a modern style that is dark with lots of Browns and blacks. The tables and chairs are mostly dark wood, and the walls are lined with empty bottles of Boss Coffee cold-brew. Oh, and back to my macchiato: The espresso was really strong. Stronger than I like it, but still had good flavor. I’ll be back. Getting there Boss Coffee 23015 N Scottsdale Road Suite 107 Scottsdale, AZ 85255
